Chicken nuggets for lunch - a photo on Flickriver

            We went to Reid Park the other day around lunch time. One woman had spread her blanket near the pond and was sitting surrounded by 3 night herons and many ducks. She was feeding the herons bits of her chicken nuggets. The birds waited paitiently for their turn. As we walked by, we got shots of the herons, as they were focused on their next nugget. I'm quite sure I will never be this close to a night heron again. Both humans and wildlife continue to surprise me.
