This week it's a more distant view of this 'Powerful Giant' overlooking Swithland Sidings, Great Central Railway (GCR), Leicestershire - Happy Telegraph Tuesday (HTT) Everyone!

            This giant pylon helps carry extensive overhead power lines across GCR and the image was taken early afternoon on Sunday 3rd October 2021 - Day 4 of GCR's 2021 Autumn Steam Gala.

For the purposes of scale, I've included the stationary goods train in the Up Loop, headed by GWR Hawksworth designed 6959 Class 'Modified Hall' 5MT 4-6-0 No. 6990 Witherslack Hall, to give an idea of scale. Perhaps it's one of the largest pylons in the UK.
