Morning, at Liberty Plaza - a photo on Flickriver

            The majean istic silhouette of Liberty Tower in the background, oversee the sensible, simple and very powerful symbol, of staunching resilience for honoring the fallen at Sept 11 2001. The water in foreground, is a band of water, about 3 feet, all around the big square monument, that has in front the black marble panels wth engraved names of the fallen. The construction was made with inspiration and knowledge, as at every breeze caused by proximity of the sea, will raise water vapors that will eventually condensate creating tear-like droplets over the names of the fallen, etched in the black marble. Here and there, visitors are inserting flowers, mostly roses in spaces between marble slates as they are more resistant. Very early, volunteers are cleaning everything spic and span so the visitors will have a neat clean and emotional approach. In the middle, on few levels, is an ingenuous construction, conducting the water toward the world "in the dark", where the fallen are resting. At least as spirits and all symbols.
