The Old Observatory - a photo on Flickriver

            Diese Projekt stand schon sehr lange auf meiner ToDo Liste. Und als meine Frau und ich am Sonntag von Usedom zurück in Hamburg waren habe ich in meiner Milchstrassen App herumgespielt als ich sah, daß die bedingungen perfect waren und genauso wie ich mir das Bild vorgestellt hatte. Nämlich daß die Milchstrasse über dem Turm steht, in einer Flucht mit dem Kanal. Also habe ich spontan meinen Krempel verpackt, kaffee gekocht und habe mich auf die Reise gemacht in eben die Richtung aus der wir kurz zuvor herkamen. Nochmal schlappe 450 km hin und zurück. Aber, hey... wie wirklich wunderschön war dieser Flecken Erde, Und wie wurde ich am nächsten Morgen belohnt für`s bleiben und warten auf den Sonnenaufgang...Das war das pure Glück und bleibt für lange Zeit in meinem Herzen. Da war das Foto nur Beiwerk und der Motor. Aber das Erleben ist unvergleichlich. Und es ist schön zu wissen, daß es hier viele gibt die wissen was ich meine.  
This project had been on my to-do list for a long time. And when my wife and I returned to Hamburg from Usedom on Sunday, I was playing around with my Milky Way app and saw that the conditions were perfect and exactly as I had imagined the picture. Namely, that the Milky Way is above the tower, in line with the canal. So I spontaneously packed up my stuff, made some coffee and set off in the same direction we had come from a short while ago. Another mere 450 km there and back. But hey... how truly beautiful this part of the world was, and how I was rewarded the next morning for staying and waiting for the sunrise... That was pure happiness and will stay in my heart for a long time. The photo was just an accessory and the engine. But the experience is incomparable. And it's nice to know that there are many people here who know what I mean.
