It’s the ladies in the background that made me laugh. Morecambe or Blackpool (i think the latter)

            Taken about 1962 or 3. Obviously ruddy cold and windy but that never stops the enjoyment of the British seaside, apparently. It hadn't occurred to me to put this on Flickr till I noticed the old ladies in the background determined to make the best of every last second! They’ve even put up their deck-chairs, or have they taken hired ones off the beach? Tough northern stock!

I assumed that it was Morecambe as it was our nearest seaside, but that looks like a Blackpool tram-stop in the background. And that’s me and my dad in the foreground.
