According to current knowledge, the dahlia belongs to one of the two parents of today's garden dahlia and brought the white to purple colour components with it.
It has eight petals, is a pure wild form and blooms at the same time as the garden dahlia.

Die Dahlie gehört nach heutigem Erkenntnisstand zu einer der beiden Eltern der heutigen Gartendahlie und brachte die weißen bis violetten Farbbestandteile mit.
Sie hat acht Blütenblätter, ist eine reine Wildform und blüht zur selben Zeit wie die Gartendahlie.
