Crew and Railroad change at Bieber, CA

            Bieber was the division point between the WP and GN on the line between Keddie and Klamath Falls.  Here a southbound GWS (Great Northern-Western Pacific-Santa Fe) freight has stopped to change crews.  WP engines often ran through between Stockton/Oroville and Klamath Falls, but GN power was usually pulled off at Bieber and sent back toward K-Falls on the next available train. We were in Bieber after riding the SWG north earlier in the day (on this very set of power) and this was the only train heading south until the freight we would catch home at 4 in the morning.
