Green Heron Portrait - a photo on Flickriver

            As I was walking on a trail , I heard the distinct call of a green heron on my left. The one in the photograph was being chased away by another green heron (probably a territorial fight). So this one came all the way to the right of the trail and chose this dead tree for a brief rest. Taken in Lakeland, Florida.
