Murco - Car Colston Service Station, Fosse Way, Car Colston nr Nottingham, Nottinghamshire.

With this petrol station and it's neighbouring BP petrol station being on the old stretch of the A46 I had assumed both sites had long gone but clearly not with both sites still to this day being extremely busy not to mention the garden centre across the road too.
I first came across Car Colston Service Station (if it was called that) back in 1994 on a school trip to Alton Towers which then was a Texaco site. The pumps were in my opinion quite unusual as they resembled a cross between Jungmans & the Tokheim Mechanical/Electronic Lowlines for those with good pump knowledge.
I do think that the site had possibly closed for a time but then the addition of some second hand Total branded pumps the site soon rebranded to Murco which it carried until 2012 at the earliest.
Looking at Google street view in 2019 this had rebranded to Essar which was only for a short period before returning to Murco with the latest branding.
