            RM2107 from Finchley Garage on route 26 at Golders Green, Sunday 12th November 1978.

In the second stage of “BusPlan” implemented in October 1978 route 26 was withdrawn on Mondays to Saturdays between Golders Green Station and Victoria Station but introduced on Sundays to replace the Sunday section of route 2B between Golders Green and North Finchley and of route 260 north of North Finchley, including the section beyond New Barnet Station to Barnet(Chesterfield Road) which was thus served by route 26 for the first time. This section covered roads served by route 261 on Mondays to Saturdays only. RML type Routemasters were introduced to the 26 on Saturdays and Sundays only, but as seen here the RM type also appeared.
