Can't see the wood for the ... DSC_2500

            ... fog! 

Most photographers live for this stuff, but it came exactly when I wanted give my new lens set up a technical run through for clarity and definition. No problem, I'll do that another day, because I'm very pleased with this. This was (sort of) my idea for the last Flickr Friday theme, but I never managed to get all the stuff together in time. 

Shot with a Schneider-Kreuznach Componon 1:5.6/135 enlarging lens at f/11 on a tilt & shift Kopil Bellowsmat. Thanks to Flickr member Johannes for some technical assistance and encouragement with that. There was a little bit of sag in the bellows as I used it sideways, so I will have to figure out how to get that fixed. 

This is a panorama of three images with full extremes of shift (on a DX sensor like mine, the max shift is just over two frames, so you need the third one to join them up). I have then cropped the sides of the frame back, as the edges were a bit confusing for the composition. 

A few tweaks in post processing to adjust the white and black points and desaturate a little.
