This picture reminds me of something that's not obviously visible. At this time I exchanges slides with a railfan from the U.S, who was a physics teacher at Delta College (www.delta.edu). As I made quite a lot of pictures, while the train was passing the bridge, I also sent one of these pictures to the United States. He not only sent slides, but also a lot of railfan magazines, mostly old ones from 1950s, 60s and 70s, but also some current issues from 1980s. Many things were familar, but of course I wondered about other things, e.g. about diesel special trains, the test runs of C&Os 614 on coal trains or american steam locos in Europe.
And of course, I remember on the many great pictures in these magazines. One contained also a very early publication of O. Winston Links pictures. Now his publications are standing side by side with Jim Shaughnessy and others in my bookshelf.
