Poem.


South of Oban the rising sun beams off the pine plantations
of this dammed lochan, part of the River Oude.
Profuse with full-foliage shrubs and trees,
a high summer morning is “melting” away the cloud,
minute by minute,
second by second.
The road sweeps east and then north
to track the wonderfully convoluted coastline.
Anticipation is great, for endless vistas emerge,
with rapid repetition.
