Livingston, Montana - a photo on Flickriver

            Looking back at happier times and the week before the impending BNSF takeover, all is well and calm at the Montana Rail Link Livingston Montana shops, blue everywhere to be seen, nothing as changed (yet). 

A Bozeman Pass helper set consisted of a pair of MRL SD70ACs (4401/4402) sandwiching an MRL SD40-2 (253) are seen waiting their assignment up the pass, at the Livingston Fuel Pads. Much prettier set of eye candy than the SP - like BNSF SD70MAC helpers we have today. 

The employees on sight were very find and welcoming to my Father and myself, letting us roam about the property to shoot what was out and about taking in the December sunshine. With the next westbound 4 hours out near Laurel, it was nice to document what would be the final days of MRL power on Bozeman Pass. Taken: 12-22-23
