KZ - Ekibastuz 2 2TE10M-2521 - a photo on Flickriver

            Ekibastuz in Kazakhstan's Pavlodar Region is home to quite a considerable coal field with open cast coal mining happening in more than one pit. A look from google maps will show the massive scale of things.

Here 2TE10M-2521 smokes it's way towards Ekibastuz 2, an exchange yard with the mainline. The train is a loaded rake of coal in Kazakh wagons that have been filled in the mine. These may then head to a nearby power station with a VL80T/S in charge.
