a coot searching for water on a frozen lake.

            Is their some water here or only ice ? 
Where is my lake ? 
After 3 days of temp below 0°C (-3°C to -8°C) and a lot of wind the lake is mainly frozen (90%) and birds have to walk for long to find water.
