Collemopsidium halodytes on Barnacle

            Seen when viewed large the dark spots (0.01" in diameter) with white around them are the fruiting bodies or "perithecia of the 'endolithic' lichenized fungus Collemopsidium halodytes." See the note from Richard Droker on photo below.
