" The Dancing Pines" - a photo on Flickriver

                   Scots Pines { Pinus Sylvestris } in silhouette on a ridge against the late evening skyline.
        Much beloved as Bonsai Trees {Literati Style} by the Japanese, who believe that they are real people and at certain nights of the year, become "alive". They uproot themselves from there position and travel great distances across the land, dancing and singing as they go.
  They must, however, return to there original place before Dawn for if the morning light l strikes them before they do,they will die. This apparently is the reason for so many dead branches ["Jins"} on these type of  trees, as the daylight has caught a small part of "the dancers"  due to there late return! Indeed some of the really late home comers are completely dead and there are at least 4 in the group.
