Drought Drama

            A pair of Australian Eucalypts exemplify the struggle faced by woodlands and forests after ten years of drought. Trees have dropped leaves (and branches) to minimise water loss through transpiration and reveal the fine skeletal detail and graceful but disorderly sweep  of the structures. Nearby are lush paddocks but here on the edge of the Lamington Plateau water is scarce. This is a blue sky we should not be able to see.
