Orthetrum coerulescens (Fabricius 1798) Male

            A los machos de esta especie los distingo de Orthetrum brunneum, por el morrete oscuro. Para asegurarse bien habría que mirar una vena (RSPL) y si esta encierra 4 o menos celdas dobladas estaremos ante "coerulescens". En caso de que tenga más, estaremos ante "brunneum". Para eso hay que hacer una toma cenital.

I distinguish the males of this species from Orthetrum brunneum, by the dark morrete. To be sure you would have to look at a vein (RSPL) and if it contains 4 or less doubled cells we will be before "coerulescens". In case you have more, we will be before "brunneum". For that you have to make a zenith shot.
