Citrus Tower. Clermont, Florida. Built in 1956. When US 27 was the main route of travel, and before the theme parks changed traffic patterns, the tower had six figures in numbers of visitors annually.

            The first time I went up, you could see citrus groves in every direction. That was in the mid-nineties. Everything, including old neighborhoods, is now gone.
