Bumble Bee on a cone flower - a photo on Flickriver

            I have to laugh because when I look at this image I think "bed of nails" with the poor bumble bee having to scramble over the cone projections while trying to get her proboscis down the to base of the flower to collect nectar. But I love the color and detail of these macros where you get to see what you normally can't with the naked eye.
