Little Boy Blue DSC_8494 - a photo on Flickriver

            Lady and Mr. B. are very good parents.  Their first brood of four hatched successfully and the babies were escorted out of the yard upon fledging.  

Last week the little ones were brought back to the yard for feeding times only.  It took several days to see how many returned and if they were boys or girls.  They sure do know how to hide.  Now that they can feed themselves, I am delighted to see all four young ones coming and going along with mom and dad.  There are three boys and one girl.  

Currently, Lady and Mr. B are continuing to care for and teach this brood.  Although Lady B. has finished building her second nest of the season and has begun laying eggs.  So, these little ones will be on their own very soon.  

Silly me, I still don't have the new bluebird cam installed in the box.  Looks like I will hold off on that until after this nesting season is over.
