Allamanda cathartica L. ; Variety- Caramel Blush

            The Allamanda genus consists of 15 species of tropical vines and shrubs characterized by whorls of light green leaves and showy, funnel shaped flowers. Numerous cultivars have been developed to showcase blooms in a spectrum of colors, from dark purple to white, chocolate and pale yellow. 

Allamanda cathartica has amazing trumpet-like yellow blossoms  which have a unique yellow-orange heart-shaped centre that distinguishes it from other varieties. This variety blooms readily under low light conditions and do so over a long period.  The bloom’s soft caramel fragrance is an additional bonus. A wonderful flowering perennial shrub for container or garden.
