Coachwhip (Masticophis flagellum) Tucson, AZ.1

            This Coachwhip (Masticophis flagellum) was photographed in my west Tucson, Arizona yard. It had been around for a few days, but they are so fast they are difficult to photograph. I was pleased to finally get these. I usually get the all black ones, or the red phase which is pink with a black head. This is the first time I had this striped brown pattern.
