Luds Church, Peak District - a photo on Flickriver

            Lud's Church is a deep chasm created by a massive landslip on the hillside above Gradbach, Staffordshire, England, towards the southwest fringe of the Peak District National Park. 
Over 100 metres long and 18 metres deep, it was allegedly used by the Lollards as a secret place of worship during the early 15th century, when they were being persecuted for their religious beliefs.
