Soo 700 in Action

            Soo Line 700, a GP30 has been a part of the LSRM collection for many years. It was often seen pulling trains up until a few years ago when it started to display some issues.

This year, the locomotive went to ILS and had just returned a few weeks prior to my visit.

Technically, this trip was supposed to be the last weekend of steam for the D&NE 28's season, but that was delayed when parts for it arrived late.

Soo 700 was a worthy substitute. I had been hoping to shoot the 700 for almost 10 years in action, I rode behind it in 2009, shot it once (badly) in 2013 and got a roster shot in 2017 at the depot.
