Der Treptower Park ist das perfekte Ausflugsziel. Auf insgesamt 84 Hektar Grün können Sie an der Uferpromenade entlang, über sonnige Liegewiesen, am Rosengarten vorbei oder unter schattigen Platanenalleen spazieren. Als Volkspark ist der Treptower Park 1888 eine Neuerung für die damalige Zeit, offen für alle Bürger der Stadt. Gustav Meyer, ein Schüler Lennés, gestaltete den Park im englischen Stil. Eine bedeutende Umgestaltung erfuhr der flächenmäßig größere Parkbereich, der jeseits der den Park durchquerenden Puschkinallee liegt. In dessen Mitte wurde von 1946 bis 1949 das Sowjetische Ehrenmal eingerichtet, das nicht nur an den opferreichen und letztlich siegreichen Kampf der Sowjetarmee über Nazi-Deutschland erinnert, sondern auch ein Friedhof für 5.000 Soldaten aller Nationalitäten der damaligen Sowjetunion ist.

Treptow Park is the perfect destination for an excursion. On a total of 84 hectares of greenery, you can stroll along the riverside promenade, across sunny lawns, past the rose garden or under shady plane tree allées. As a public park, Treptow Park was an innovation for its time in 1888, open to all citizens of the city. Gustav Meyer, a student of Lenné, designed the park in the English style. The larger area of the park, which lies on the other side of the Puschkinallee that crosses the park, was significantly redesigned after the Second World War. From 1946 to 1949, the Soviet Memorial was erected in the middle of the park. It not only commemorates the sacrificial and ultimately victorious struggle of the Soviet Army against Nazi Germany, but is also a cemetery for 5,000 soldiers of all nationalities of the former Soviet Union.
