Fürst-Pückler-Park Bad Muskau: Aussichtshügel im Blauen Garten - Observation hill in the Blue Garden

            Der Fürst-Pückler-Park Bad Muskau (polnisch Park Mużakowski) ist mit einer Gesamtfläche von 830 Hektar der größte Landschaftspark Zentraleuropas im englischen Stil. Seit 1945 die neue deutsche Ostgrenze entlang der Flüsse Oder und Neiße festgelegt wurde, war der nach seinem Schöpfer Hermann Fürst von Pückler-Muskau benannte Park geteilt, denn er erstreckt sich zu beiden Seiten der Neiße. Er liegt zu etwa einem Drittel in der sächsischen Stadt Bad Muskau, der größere Teil des Parks liegt östlich der Lausitzer Neiße und nördlich der Stadt Łęknica (Lugknitz) in Polen. Bis in die 90-er Jahre gab es keine Verbindung mehr zwischen beiden Ufern, die Brücken waren im Krieg zerstört worden. Heute sind beide Teile sind wieder durch mehrere Neißebrücken miteinander verbunden, die Grenze spielt keine Rolle mehr. Zentrales Gestaltungselement des Parks ist das Neue Schloss Muskau, das im Krieg zerstört und 2011 restauriert wurde. Der Park
ist eine der wenigen staatenübergreifenden Welterbestätten. 

The Bad Muskau Prince Pückler Park (Polish: Park Mużakowski) is with 830 hectars the largest English style landcape park in Central Europa. Since the new German East frontier after World War II was fixed along the rivers Oder and Neisse, the park named today after its creator Hermann Prince Pückler-Muskau was divided as it extends on both sides of the Neisse. About a third of the park's area is situated around the German town Bad Muskau, the larger part is on Polish territory East of the Lusacian Neisse and North of the town of Łęknica. Until the 1990s there was no link between both shores, the bridges having been destroyed in the war. Today both parks are again linked by various bridges, the frontier is of no importance for visitors. The New Palace destroyed in the war and reconstructed in 2011 is a central element of the park that is one of the few historic sites situated in more than one country listed as World Heritage by UNESCO.
