2023.04.15.065 PARMA - Monastero de san Paolo - Camera della badessa Giovanna di Piacenza - Correggio (1522)

            Antonio Allegri da Correggio, dit Il Correggio, en français Le Corrège, né à Correggio, aux alentours de 1489, et mort le 5 mars 1534 dans la même ville, est l’un des grands peintres de la Renaissance de l'école de Parme.
À Parme, la même année, Le Corrège se lance dans sa première grande entreprise picturale avec la décoration de la « chambre de l'abbesse » du couvent Saint-Paul (dite aussi chambre di San Paolo), commandée par l'abbesse, Giovanna Piacenza.

Antonio Allegri da Correggio, known as Il Correggio, or Le Corrège in French, born in Correggio around 1489 and died in the same town on March 5, 1534, was one of the great Renaissance painters of the Parma school.
In Parma that same year, Le Corrège embarked on his first major pictorial undertaking with the decoration of the "abbess's room" in the convent of St. Paul (also known as the chambre di San Paolo), commissioned by the abbess, Giovanna Piacenza.
