The Unfortunate Fisherman - a photo on Flickriver

            I was working on this build for quite awhile, but couldn't figure out what I wanted to do with it. I knew I wanted the main focus to be on the sea creature with the fisherman being dragged in from the bridge, but I couldn't think what I could do with the scenery behind them. 

Luckily I was replaying skyrim at the time and took some inspiration from the castles featured in the game. The wooden battlements on top of the gatehouse was inspired by the city of Whiterun, where wooden battlements were integrated into the stone walls, which I really liked. 

The technique I used for the brickwork was incredibly tedious. I've used it before in my Attack on Titan build as the groundwork but decided to build it for the main structures this time round.
