Sora...Sora...Sora

            Despite its abundance, the Sora (aka Carolina Rail) is not often seen. 
As with other rails, it spends most of its time hidden in dense marshy growth or wet meadows.

This 'lil guy popped up out of the reeds for a bit to chase down its breakfast of seeds, insects, and snails.
We were very fortunate to see it out in the open....
