Playing Statue

            I would have said "frozen in place," but then you'd think that he froze in the ice that he's standing on.  That's not the case. There were six Varied Thrushes on my deck, and they all became immobile, all of them looking in the same direction. They stayed immobile a long time, maybe five minutes. I couldn't see what had them spooked. I didn't want to get too close, because if I spooked them they might be endangered. Was it a Cooper's Hawk or an owl?  I don't know. I did get a shot of this one as it played statue instead of flying off.
