A very scenic drive - a photo on Flickriver

            It is a lot of work going through my 14000 Scandinavia pictures. I have been back for 6 weeks, and I have done ca 4000 pictures, which means I still have 10000 to do. But it is not an awful task. In fact it is again a fantastic journey that propels me back in time. I relive many fantastic memories .

I took this shot on a day that I was driving from  Slettedalsvatnet where I had spent the night to the incredible waterfall of Langfoss over the scenic Fv520 road (but which road is not scenic in Norway) which climbs to a pass, all along the way crossing snow and rock landscapes, scenic lakes, and nature awakening. 

Just two days before I had been at Preikestolen, where there was no snow left, but here I came back in a landscape where winter was fighting for its existence.

I remember the very cold wind while making pictures (my hands freezing), the ice in the lakes with the amazing blue colors, and young people who stayed on the top of the pass to sleep that night in their tents, because it was a holiday in Norway, and they wanted to ski in that mountainous area. 

The only problem I have is to choose the right picture, because there is so much to show. This time I also used my drone. Normally I hike up the mountains, but here it was hardly possible because there was still so much snow and I didn't have the proper equipment to walk there ( I will have to do better next time).

Another day in paradise!
