Churchill Barrier No 2 - a photo on Flickriver

            The southern islands of Orkney are now connected by 4 Churchill Barriers - huge blocks of concrete dumped across Scapa Flow in 1940 to stop submarines entering. It's also a graveyard for a number of wrecked ships, known as block ships, including The Royal Oak which was torpedoed in October 1939, leading to the creation of the barriers.
