Cotton candy at a carnival - a photo on Flickriver

            I have being doing an online course on creating painterly photographs by Kathleen Clemons (I highly recommend it). I have learned so much, and part of it is using the Lensbaby. One session was on "shooting through", so she wrapped tulle and lace around her lens hood, pushing the top edges so they were partly over the lens, for some dreamy images.I thought I would try hanging beads in front of the lens. So I went out in the backyard with my Lensbaby Velvet and using the crystal beads I posted yesterday, tried it. I held onto the lens and beads with my left hand (manually focusing at the same time), making sure that one strand was hanging over the left and one over the right.  I got some pretty awesome effects, IMO. In this one, I was in the shade, so there are no prisms like in the sunlight images, which I'll post later. But the blue in the background is from the crystal beads. And the rest of the bokeh is the flowers and garden. 

This is entirely SOOC.
