Firestorm Heavy Interceptor - a photo on Flickriver

            Engineered to bring the fight off-world to approaching attack fleets, the Firestorm boasts antimatter cannons and dual ventral torpedo tubes, making a squadron of these fighters more than a match for even the most heavily armored capitol ship attack groups.  The fighter also carries dual light blasters and quad heavy blasters for dogfighting and strafing, and can deploy barrages of high yield mines from a rear port to discourage pursuers.  Extremely fast, the Firestorm has been fitted with massive engines originally designed for much larger ships, as well as an array of maneuvering thrusters along the rear surfaces, making the it quite agile as well.
