The Spinnaker - a photo on Flickriver

The Spinnaker

            This is the first of three shots of The Spinnaker Tower in Portsmouth, taken at different times during the afternoon/evening I was there.

The Spinnaker Tower is a 170m observation platform situated in the Gunwharf Quays redevelopment. It has three viewing platforms and cafes and other interactive things you can do while you're up the top.

We didn't go up on our visit, but I may book tickets next time I'm in the area, I can imagine the views are pretty amazing.

This first shot was taken late afternoon when the sky was filled with rain clouds from a passing storm, with the setting sun lighting them up and giving the tower a glow.
