A very important front-line greeter volunteer event, so I must look my best and keep a certain image out! I went with the outfit on the right.

-rant alert-
Off to Noisefest 2 in a warm room, bound and determined to have some fun, as usual, away from the popular "safe spaces" and those trans&queer individuals who play the pity party within their own filter bubbles.

Do I sound uncomplimentary? I spent hours with five dozen other techno fans, none of whom batted an eyelash at the tranny taking their money at the door, and chatting happily with any and all.

Maybe I'm doing as much hiding as others, by hanging out only with the goth/metal/industrial/techno/newmuzik/symphony people, or the sci-fi/spec-fic community, or the precision-rifle/IDPA/3-Gun clubs, or going shopping or sharing beers and coffee with an odd group of galpals who've taken the curmudgeonly transwoman's lead and show up looking dressy.

But perhaps these glbt types are wrong, and it's that you'll only get where you want to be if you work at it, rather than have your "rights" handed to you by governmental fiat. *snarl*

Un événement très important pour les bénévoles d'accueil de première ligne, je dois donc paraître sous mon meilleur jour et garder une certaine image! Je suis allé avec la tenue sur la droite.

En route pour Noisefest 2 dans une pièce chaude, attachée et déterminée à s'amuser, comme d'habitude, loin des "espaces sûrs" populaires et des personnes trans et queer qui jouent à la pitié dans leurs propres bulles filtrantes.

Est-ce que je ne semble pas gratuit? J'ai passé des heures avec cinq douzaines d'autres fans de techno, dont aucun n'a souri au travvie en prenant son argent à la porte et en discutant joyeusement avec tout le monde.

Peut-être que je me cache autant que les autres, en traînant uniquement avec les gens goth/métal/industriel/techno/newmuzik/symphonie, ou la communauté de science-fiction ou spéculative-fiction, ou le fusil de précision/IDPA/3 -Gun clubs, ou aller faire du shopping ou partager des bières et du café avec un groupe étrange de copines qui ont pris la tête de la transsexuelle et se montrent habillées.

Mais peut-être que ces types de glbt sont faux, et c'est que vous n'atteindrez où vous voulez être que si vous y travaillez, plutôt que de vous voir confier vos «droits» par décision gouvernementale. *gronder*
