La catedral metropolitana de Santa María de la Sede es la catedral de la archidiócesis de Sevilla. Se trata del templo gótico con mayor superficie del mundo. La Unesco la declaró en 1987, junto al Real Alcázar y el Archivo de Indias, Patrimonio de la Humanidad​ y, el 25 de julio de 2010, Bien de Valor Universal Excepcional.​ Según la tradición, la construcción se inició en 1401, aunque no existe constancia documental del comienzo de los trabajos hasta 1433.

The Cathedral of Saint Mary of the See (Spanish: Catedral de Santa María de la Sede), better known as Seville Cathedral, is a Roman Catholic cathedral in Seville (Andalusia, Spain).[1] It was registered in 1987 by UNESCO as a World Heritage Site, along with the adjoining Alcázar palace complex and the General Archive of the Indies. It is the third-largest church in the world as well as the largest Gothic church.
