Light Sketches No.5 - a photo on Flickriver

            In the end, my intention may not be to photograph still lifes, but to use transparent motifs as a catalyst for "supplementing light." Lately, I feel that what's important isn't the tools or the software, but the Washi. It's thin and difficult to control, but it complements the light with a suppleness. Anyway, I'm like a fisherman who keeps losing fish with a net full of holes.

This hand-pulled photogravure print is made with Haruzo Etching Ink Black, Charbonnel Bistre, Red ochre on Awagami Katagami-Genshi (Washi)
