Peugeot 405 Turbo 16 Pikes Peak 1988

            Pikes Peak Hill Climb in Colorado (USA) is the second oldest car race in the USA after the 500 Miles of Indianapolis. The climb covers 20 km and starts at the altitude of 2857 m and finishes at 4290 m.
In 1987 Peugeot entered with three 500 bhp 205 T16's and finished second behind Audi.
The revenge came the following years when Ari Vatanen won in 1988 with this 520 bhp 405 Turbo 16. Robby Unser did the same in 1989.

Technical data: four wheel drive and four wheel steering, rear central engine, 4 cylinders, turbocharged, 2 overhead camshafts and 4 valves per cylinder, 1905 cc, 520 bhp, 6 speed gearbox.
