Great way to meet an E - a photo on Flickriver

            It has been just short of eight years since I first met the Iowa Pacific, in the form of this beautiful E8, the 515.  It and its sister, the 518 are leading an excursion into Janesville, WI back in May of 2014.  Seeing these sleek streamlined EMDs dressed in chocolate and orange made me a believer that all things were possible.  A little bit later there would be chocolate and orange passenger trains running only a mile or two from my house on the Hoosier State, Amtrak's train between Chicago and Indianapolis.  The E's never made it to the Hoosier State, but that was OK.  Today, this is all gone - no chocolate and orange, no E's, no Hoosier State.  Maybe, I'm not a believer anymore.
