LINΞΛS 186 252-3 @ Neufvilles 🇧🇪

Op dinsdag 3 juni kreeg ik op het middaguur vanuit Lobbes een berichtje van mijn broer om te melden dat de 186 252 #Modalshift onderweg was met de lege graantrein 49803 van Tergnier naar Aalst. De trein reed die dag met een goede 50 minuten in de plus en zou dus tegen 13u15 in Soignies moeten zijn.

Na mijn ochtendles tot 12u stapte ik dan ook gezwind naar huis en om 12u25 zat ik in de auto voor de rit naar Soignies - een dik half uur later was ik terplekke en stond de ladder opgesteld over de velden aan de Rue Ramée.

En dan was het wachten en balanceren op de ladder want hé... de wind blies toch wel vrij stevig waardoor het zaak was om evenwicht te houden op de ladder. Die wind zorgde er ook wel voor dat de wolken snel voorbijtrokken en dus was het hopen dat alles goes zou komen en dat gebeurde ook: op het goede moment verscheen de fraaie loc in het groene landschap van enerzijds de graanvelden en anderzijds de kunstmatige heuvel van de 'Carrière de Soignies', uitgebaat door Holcim.

After a message from my brother, I drove to Soignies to take a photo of the announced - and delayed - freight train from Tergnier to Aalst-Oost. And so LINΞΛS 186 252 #Modalshift drove between the fields of Soignies while I was ballancing on my ladder due to the wind.

[Edit] A small bush in front of the locomotive was digitally pruned at home.
