DBAG 218 343-2 + 218 487-7 @ Gohren 🇩🇪

Een dagje na ons avondbezoek aan de barokke bedevaartskerk in Birnau was het dan eindelijk zo ver! De Südbahn tussen Ulm en Friedrichshafen was weer volledig open voor de dienst! En dat betekende ook voor de Bodensee-Gürtelbahn tussen Lindau en Friedrichshafen een ware ommezwaai in het materieel dat de treinen verzekerde.

Niet alleen werd de RE tussen Lindau en Stuttgart weer over het volledige traject met locomotieven reeks 218 of 245 en Dosto's gereden maar ook de fraaie IC 118/119 reed weer tussen Innsbruck en Stuttgart. En dat moest de eerste dag natuurlijk onmiddellijk op foto ;-)

Het werd wel wachten en wachten (zo erg zelfs dat ik dacht dat ik de trein eigenlijk al gemist had - tja, als je wat nipt vertrekt hé)...
Maar blijkbaar was het wat moeilijk om deze trein - na maanden afwezigheid ten noorden van Lindau - weer op de rails te krijgen. Tot in Lindau ging alles eigenlijk goed maar op één of andere manier bleef de trein maar kamperen in Lindau. Om 12u38 zag ik dan eindelijk op de app van de DBAG de verlossende info dat de trein toch vertrokken was. Met dik 35 minuten op de teller kon ik de trein dan een goed kwartier later in Gohren op foto zetten. Yes, wat blijft dit mooi - al zeg ik het zelf ;-)

Am 20. Juli war es dann endlich so weit: die Südbahn war eine Wocher später als geplant wieder völlig befahrbar zwischen Ulm und Friedrichshafen! Und das bedeutete dass nicht nur die RE zwischen Lindau und Stuttgart wieder völlig fuhren (anstatt nur zwischen Lindau und Ravensburg) aber dass auch der Starzug des Südbahns wieder nordlich von Lindau fuhr!

Und das musste natürlich schon den ersten Tag aufs Bild. Ich brauchte aber eine Portion Geduld denn der Zug fuhr nach dem Halt in Lindau mit einer Verspätung von 35 Minuten. Aber für zwei BR 218 wartete ich gerne ;-)

July 20, 2020! I had marked that day during my holidays in Langenargen because the railway line between Ulm and Friedrichshafen was from that day on back full in force!
And so, from that day on, IC 118 Innsbruck - Stuttgart could run again from Lindau to Stuttgart. The train had a delay of 35 minutes, but no problem for me... I waited with great pleasure to see this two locomotives class 218!
