LINΞΛS 186 252-3 @ Hennuyères 🇧🇪

Net zoals een een drietal weekends geleden werden de graantreinen van Aalst naar Tergnier ook op zaterdag 27 juni vanaf Braine-le-Comte weer omgeleid via L96, het westelijke ringspoor rond Brussel en L50 tussen Jette en Denderleeuw. In de vroege namiddag had ik die info van een bevriend treinspotter ontvangen (waarvoor dank)! Door omstandigheden (lees: gras maaien en wat tuinieren) las ik diezelfde informatie wel pas rond 17u45... rijkelijk te laat dus voor de graantrein richting Aalst die al rond 15u20 in Mons was gesignaleerd met de LNS 186 252 #Modalshift aan kop!! Verdorie toch...

Maar kijk, het goede nieuws bleef komen want diezelfde locomotief zou ook opnieuw met een graantrein richting Frankrijk sporen met vertrek om 17u56 in Aalst. En opnieuw werd er vanaf Denderleeuw via L50, het westelijke ringspoor rond Brussel en L96 tot in Halle en Braine-le-Comte gespoord. Dat opende dus wel perspectieven!!

Ik was eerst wel nog wat verbaasd dat de trein al om 18u35 in Halle zou zijn... ik dacht dat dit net iets te snel was (met de auto duurt het namelijk ook een dikke 40 minuten van Aalst naar Halle) maar neen hoor, de trein is dus op dit traject echt wel een concurrent voor de (vracht)auto! Mooi zo - het doet de #Modalshift alle eer aan!

Ik trok dus vol goede moed naar Hennuyères waar de trein zo rond 18u50 zou moeten zijn. Het licht zat goed rond dat uur... en er kwam ook een trein aan... alleen was het de IC van Schaarbeek naar Binche. Dat werd dus nog wat langer wachten terwijl de regenwolken achter mij steeds dichterbij kwamen...

Acht minuten later kwam dan de graantrein om de hoek terwijl de eerste druppeltjes uit de lucht vielen... ach, gelukkig was er nog voldoende licht (en bleek bij thuiskomst in Halle dat het daar echt wel gegoten had!)! Was ik dus toch nog min of meer naar het juiste plekje getrokken ;-)

This freight train from Aalst to Tergnier was again diverted between Aalst and Braine-le-Comte and so, I could catch this train in Hennuyères. In front, locomotive 186 252 aka #Modalshift gives a lot of colour to the picture ;-)
