street snooze - a photo on Flickriver

            this chap is a regular character all over the city. I have seen him marching along with a tremendous stride in numerous different parts of town, well wrapped up, upright stance and gait, large, impressive chap, huge beard, always with many backpacks, striding along on his way. I've never been able to work out if he is  just someone who like to go for many long walks carrying many packs or if he is a down and out carrying all his possessions with him as he goes, but he can been seen frequently around the city in many different spots, usually with the same very well-posed, upright gait and determined, fast marching pace. Out and about in town today on a lovely autumnal afternoon I saw him having forty winks, snoozing on a bench in the Canongate part of the Royal Mile as tourists passed by
