Art In The City - a photo on Flickriver

Art In The City

            A photo from this past weekend when I stopped by the Cullen Sculpture Garden across from the Museum of Fine Arts Houston. 

The large sculpture is Cloud Column by Anish Kapoor. Up close it is kind of like the Bean in Chicago. In the background the tops of the  towers of the massive Medical Center complex are visible. 

Given the title of the sculpture, it seemed fitting to have storm clouds in the photo. The clouds were from the wrap around motion of Tropical Storm Barry as it was making landfall in Louisiana.
