Bright spot in the Sierras - a photo on Flickriver

I saw this on the last day of my "Birds of the Sierras" Golden Gate Audubon sponsored birding class last summer.  It was a new bird for me -- and one of the brightest colored of any I'd seen during the four days of the class field-trip.  Unlike the other birds who were mostly too shy to be seen in the open -- this one perched right out where I could see it.
