Fishing at Dawki, Meghalaya, India - a photo on Flickriver

            I went to Dawki out of curiosity... as someone told me that it's a good place to see.
But I must say that if you are into photography then this is the place in Meghalaya to be, because it's unique, no where else you will find boats flying on water anywhere in India... and please believe you me... I have travelled extensively at least within India.
It's very small village on Indo -Bangla border. One can reach the place either from Jowai or from Shora side as well after visiting Mawphlong.
Night stay can be at Shnongpdeng, there one can rent a shack, room or spend a night in a pub tent under the starlit skies on banks of small lake,water flowing slowly in the stones, it's a wonderful feeling with a small fire, rum, whisky, vodka, soda, Vodka, juice or soft drinks i.e poison of your choice . Have alike minded company to discuss life,love and other nonsense of the hustle bustle of life.
Early morning reach to the site and enjoy the loc live in it, feel it... it's mesmerising.One must have a boat ride to have have hang of the place. Though the river is flowing but water beneath is absolutely calm, but was not very clear during my two visits as Early monsoons have set in, best time to visit is nov-dec being no rain time... let's see if i get another chance to do it.
